Christmas is coming!

'Tis the season and Jesus is the reason!

My favorite Christmas song is Silent Night. On my first trip to Tanzania, just before Christmas 2005, our Tanzanian friends taught our team the Swahili version. It's like God touching my soul to sing this song in Swahili. Every year, I bring my Swahili lyrics with me to church so I can sing it in my heart language. Every syllable fills my spirit.

At a time when we should be resting and praising and sitting at the foot of the cross to thank God for the gift of His son, we're often running full speed ahead. So fast, that I would guess many of you, like me, sometimes almost rush past Christmas because you are so busy preparing for it. Today, I would encourage you to take a moment to breathe in the Spirit of Christmas. To adore the lights around you and seek the LIGHT within you. Draw near to him and he will draw near to you. Rest in the Silent Night and be still. All is calm and all is bright.

As we take time to be with family and reflect on the goodness and provision of God this week, we are reminded that Jesus is the reason for the season. And we thank God for our blessings. That includes YOU!

In Karatu this week, Food for His Children families received Christmas gifts of rice, beans, notebooks and pens for school because of your amazing gifts! Thank you from all of our FFHC families. Watch Facebook for more photos coming soon.

Endashangwet Families thank you!

Endashangwet Families thank you for your Christmas blessings.

Your gifts bring blessings year round!

The video below explains what sets Food for His Children apart from all the other goat giving programs. When you give to Food for His Children, you don't just give a goat, you give a whole team to help someone address and remove the root cause of their poverty. Your gifts provide a goat and so much more. Watch this video and share with others so they can see how important it is to provide holistic services to really put an end to poverty. Thank YOU for making this possible!

We have added 108 new families to Food for His Children this year. Field Officers give them the best chance for success. We need $15,000 to fund 5 new positions. For just $3000, not only do you provide employment for a Tanzanian who is passionate about equipping people to become all they were created to be, but you also 30-40 families receive one on one case management services and coaching all year! It's like a BOGO only better! One generous Minnesota family has already stepped up to fund one of these positions. Would you please pray about adding an extra one time or monthly gift to Food for His Children so we can hire the other 4 new Field Officers to serve better serve our FFHC families?

Or would you consider giving just $35 per month to provide a year of wrap around Christ-centered services to help children and families work their way out of poverty and to grow into the amazing people God created them to be?

After seeing an Instagram post, Dario and Leticia in Spain stepped out in faith and committed to partnering with 12 families AND Dario didn't stop there. He is telling everyone he can about FFHC so he can get all of our new families a partner. He's up to 19 so far. What a blessing!

For every family that is chosen by one of you December 22-24, a Minnesota couple who loves FFHC will provide 20 homes visits to families in Karatu from a Field Officer.

You can partner with a family on our website at https://www.foodforhischildren.org/partner-with-a-family or click the donate page and ask to be connected to a new family. And let us know that Dario inspired you!

For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Savior who is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:10

From all of us at Food for His Children, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
